Juniper Berries grow on short, bushy trees with pale blue berries, most of all in the Reach. They’re cheap and easy to collect, and Fortify Marksman plus Regenerate Health make them handy for archers. Nords also brew them into mead.
Alchemy effects
The effects are listed in the order you discover them by eating the ingredient or using it in a potion. Two ingredients make a potion when they share at least one effect.
- Weakness to Fire – a poison effect that makes the target take more fire damage. Also on: Bleeding Crown, Frost Salts, Ice Wraith Teeth, Moon Sugar, Powdered Mammoth Tusk.
- Fortify Marksman – makes your bows hit harder for a while (Archery). Also on: Canis Root, Elves Ear, Spider Egg.
- Regenerate Health – makes your Health regenerate faster for a while. Also on: Garlic, Luna Moth Wing, Namira’s Rot, Nordic Barnacle, Vampire Dust.
- Damage Stamina Regen – a poison effect that slows the target’s Stamina regeneration for a short time. Also on: Creep Cluster, Daedra Heart, Frost Mirriam, Giant’s Toe, Histcarp, Large Antlers, Silverside Perch, Skeever Tail, Wheat.
Tips and trivia
With Dragonborn, Elmus at Thirsk Mead Hall asks for a sample once the hall has been taken back (Elmus’ Berries). With Hearthfire, three berries make a Juniper Berry Crostata. Back in Helgen, you can salvage bottles of Mead with Juniper Berry from the ruins.
