Recovery poisons shut down a target’s magicka regeneration entirely. Coat a blade, land a hit, and the victim’s magicka stops refilling for anywhere from 10 to 60 seconds depending on the grade. Against mages, necromancers and other spellcasters this is a quiet but nasty trick: once they spend what they have, they cannot recover it until the poison wears off.

Where to find them
Recovery poisons are leveled, like most found potions and poisons. They turn up as loot and in the stock of vendors who carry them, with the Malign and Deadly versions becoming more common at higher levels.
Brewing your own
Poisons are made at an alchemy lab just like potions, using the Alchemy skill. Once brewed, apply the poison to your weapon from the inventory and it takes effect on the next hit. These ingredients carry Damage Magicka Regen:
- Bear Claws
- Blue Butterfly Wing
- Blue Mountain Flower
- Chicken’s Egg
- Glow Dust
- Hanging Moss
- Human Heart
- Jarrin Root
- Nightshade
- Spider Egg
- Spriggan Sap
Some of these also hold beneficial effects; Bear Claws, for example, also restores stamina. Mixing them with each other may give you a potion rather than a poison, so check the result in the lab menu before you brew.
Tips
Pair this with Damage Magicka poisons or Lingering Damage Magicka poisons: drain the pool first, then stop it from coming back.
