Tilma the Haggard is the elderly maid who keeps Jorrvaskr, the mead hall of the Companions in Whiterun, from sliding into chaos. She says she has been looking after its warriors for as long as she can remember. Nobody knows her exact age, and the Companions joke that the hall was built around her.
Where to find them
She lives and works inside Jorrvaskr.
Quests
She is one of the possible marks in the Thieves Guild job The Fishing Job, where you have to pickpocket a particular item from the target.
Personality & relationships
Tilma is warm, a little tart, and very discreet. She claims to see, hear and know everything that goes on in the hall, and to keep every secret, which in Jorrvaskr is quite a job. Her dialogue suggests she knows the Companions’ big secret about being werewolves. She thinks the Companions are good people who make too much mess. Vilkas and Farkas came to Jorrvaskr as children, and she’s the closest thing to a mother they’ve ever had.
Good to know
Turning into a werewolf in front of her doesn’t bother her, but howling can make her hostile.
