Voada is a Breton servant in Understone Keep in Markarth, where she works in the kitchen under Anton Virane, the keep’s head chef. Her days are a cheerful blur of cooking, cleaning and laundry, and she seems to take genuine pride in it, calling it good, honest work.
Where to find them
She works in the kitchen area of Understone Keep. She also looks after the dogs kept there, and will warn you not to mind them, since they get twitchy when dinner is late.
Quests
She is the recipient of a small delivery job: Banning, Markarth’s dog trainer, sends spiced beef for the keep’s hounds. Hand it over and she thanks you with a small reward.
Personality & relationships
Voada is the peacemaker of a rather tense kitchen. Anton treats his staff badly, sneering at the native workers and threatening to cut off her fingers after she spills laundry water into the soup. Her coworker Rondach is ready to fight him over it, and Voada quickly smooths things over before it escalates. Rondach is clearly protective of her: if Voada is killed, he may hire thugs to come after you. The game files also list both of them as children of Ainethach of Karthwasten, which is why killing him can set her thugs on you too, although nothing in their dialogue ever mentions it.
