Reburrus Quintilius

Rude Imperial bookkeeper for the Silver-Blood family in Markarth who backs the Stormcloaks and becomes steward if Thongvor takes the throne.
“I should get back to work. Money doesn’t count itself.”

Reburrus Quintilius is an Imperial working for the Silver-Blood family at the Treasury House in Markarth. Despite his heritage he is a keen supporter of the Stormcloaks, and he’s in good standing with Thonar Silver-Blood. He counts the family’s money, prepares records of the silver trade and has no time at all for outsiders.

Where to find them

He works for the Silver-Bloods around the Treasury House and walks the city streets, usually glaring at passers-by. If the Stormcloaks take Markarth he moves into Understone Keep as steward. If the Empire wins The Battle for Fort Sungard instead, he ends up in exile at the Palace of the Kings in Windhelm.

Services

Only as steward to Jarl Thongvor Silver-Blood (after Fort Sungard or Season Unending goes the Stormcloaks’ way) will he sell you a house in Markarth along with the usual decorations.

Personality & relationships

Reburrus greets most people with an insult and a request to get out of his way. Ask him about the city and he sends you to Calcelmo; ask for work and he points you at Kleppr at the Silver-Blood Inn, adding that the best thing you can do is keep your head down. Once the Stormcloaks are in charge he warms up considerably – and admits to a genuine love of taxes. At court he buries Thongvor in long reports until housecarl Yngvar begs him to skip to the point, then can’t actually say whether the war is being won.
