Hathrasil is a Breton labourer at the smelter in Markarth. He is not a talker. His longtime co-worker Omluag once complained that after more than ten years together, Hathrasil’s contribution to most conversations is still “Mmmhmm.”
Where to find them
He works at the city’s smelter during the day and sleeps in the Warrens beneath the city. In the evenings he spends some of his wages at the Silver-Blood Inn with Omluag.
Personality & relationships
Hathrasil just wants to keep his head down and work. Ask him about the Forsworn and he’ll tell you not to get involved in that business. Ask who runs the smelter and he’ll point you to Mulush, the big Orc foreman who threatens to break the legs of anyone caught pinching silver. Hathrasil answers Mulush with a quick “yes” and works harder.
He looks out for Omluag in his own understated way, warning him about the molten metal and reminding him that slacking off will earn him a beating. When Omluag grumbles that the Nords bring nothing but ruin, Hathrasil just shrugs that they’re still in charge.
Good to know
Escape Cidhna Mine and he gets noticeably chattier. He says the whole Warrens has been talking about you, whichever side you took.
