Mammoth Steak

Mammoth Steak is a heavy cooked cut of mammoth snout and salt in Skyrim that restores 10 Health and is worth more than most roasts.

Mammoth Steak is a thick slab of cooked meat made from the snout of a mammoth. It is one of the heaviest dishes in the game at 2.0 weight, but at 8 gold it is also worth twice as much as most simple roasts such as Horker Loaf.

Effects

Eating it restores 10 Health. That is a simple instant restore with no lasting effect, on par with Cooked Beef.

How to make it

Mammoth Steak is cooked at any cooking pot or spit. The recipe is very short:

Where to find it

The sources used here only list the cooking recipe. Since every character knows all cooking recipes from the start, you can make it whenever you have a snout and a pinch of salt.

Good to know

Because of its weight, cooking the steak is not a good way to save pack space. If you want lighter food with the same healing, compare the other meat dishes listed on the Raw Meat page.

Where to find it

  • Cooked at any cooking pot or spit from 1 Salt Pile and 1 Mammoth Snout.
