Cooked Beef

A salted, cooked cut of beef that restores 10 Health, one of the simplest meals to prepare at a cooking pot.

Cooked Beef is about as basic as Skyrim cooking gets: a piece of raw beef, a pinch of salt and a few moments over a fire. The recipe is known from the start of the game, and since cooking is not a skill, the result is the same for every character.

Effects

Eating it restores 10 Health. It is a simple instant restore with no other effect. That is a little more than the five points many basic cooked meats give, but still weaker than a minor healing potion, so it is best seen as a cheap snack to top up between fights.

How to make it

Where to find it

Cook it yourself at any cooking place, for example in Riverwood, at Embershard Mine or in Whiterun.

Good to know

Raw beef is worth more in a pot than on its own: combined with carrot, garlic and salt it becomes Beef Stew, which gives a twelve-minute Stamina boost instead of a small heal.

Where to find it

  • Cooked at any cooking pot or spit from a Salt Pile and Raw Beef.
