Jofthor is a Nord farmer in Ivarstead and the owner of Fellstar Farm, where he lives with his wife Boti and their daughter Fastred. He is the classic overprotective dad: so afraid of losing his daughter that he ends up pushing her away.
Where to find them
At home and in the fields of Fellstar Farm.
Quests
Jofthor is part of the family drama in The Book of Love, where Fastred must decide whether to leave Ivarstead. He isn’t the one you need to win over – Boti is willing to manage him behind the scenes – but his reputation looms large: Bassianus Axius is terrified of him.
Personality & relationships
He greets you by apologising for being on edge because his daughter is driving him crazy, and sends you off with advice to leave town as fast as possible since there’s nothing here for anyone. If Fastred runs away to Riften, he can’t believe she left with “that bastard”. If she dies, his tone changes completely and he regrets not being kinder to her – a rare moment of self-awareness from Ivarstead’s grumpiest father.
