Guthrum is an old Nord sailor serving on The Sea Squall, the ship moored at the docks of Dawnstar. He has been at sea for so long that the ship feels more like home than any house ever could.
Where to find them
He lives and works aboard The Sea Squall in Dawnstar’s harbour. Hop on board and you’ll find him among the rest of the small crew.
Personality & relationships
Guthrum admits he is getting on in years and that his sailing days are numbered, but retiring to dry land is not on his agenda. He would rather spend every remaining day on the water, which he sees as the place he truly belongs.
He is also quite confident in his own skills – he boasts that he could steer through rivers and open seas with his eyes covered. His boss, Captain Wayfinder, is a lot younger and greener, and Guthrum is honest about that: the captain still has plenty to learn, though he thinks the lad is getting there. It’s a far kinder opinion than the one held by his crewmate Ravam Verethi, who grumbles about taking orders from a boy.
