Elsweyr Fondue

A cheese, moon sugar and ale fondue that boosts maximum Magicka by 100 and speeds Magicka regeneration for twelve minutes.

Elsweyr Fondue is a melted-cheese dish named after the Khajiit homeland of Elsweyr, and the moon sugar in it is a nod to that origin. It is part of the base game, has a base value of 5 gold and weighs 0.5. For spellcasters it is the standout dish of Skyrim’s cooking system.

Effects

  • Magicka is increased by 100 points for 720 seconds.
  • Magicka regenerates 25% faster for 720 seconds.

Both effects last twelve minutes. Most food only restores a few points of Health or Stamina, so a long buff like this is unusual, and it saves you from opening the menu again and again. Mages can eat it before a dungeon to cast more and recover faster. It can also be combined with Fortify Magicka or Regenerate Magicka potions.

How to make it

Cook it at any cooking pot. One serving needs:

Unlike most cooked dishes, it uses no salt.

Where to find it
