Fear Poisons

Fear poisons make creatures and people up to a certain level flee from combat for 30 seconds, buying breathing room in crowded fights.

A Fear poison turns a dangerous opponent into a fleeing one. Coat your weapon, land a hit, and the target runs from the fight for 30 seconds, provided its level does not exceed the poison’s cap. That pause lets you deal with other attackers, reposition, or heal up. Archers and sneaky fighters find them especially useful for splitting groups apart, and the stronger tiers work on progressively tougher enemies.

Deadly Fear Poison Targets up to level 23 flee for 30 seconds 526 0.5 00073F61

Where to find them

Fear poisons can be bought from vendors who sell poisons and found as loot. They are leveled, so the Virulent and Deadly versions become more likely as you level up.

Brewing your own

With the Alchemy skill, mix any two of these ingredients to make a Fear poison:

Like all poisons, the finished bottle is applied to a weapon from your inventory, and the next successful strike delivers it to the target.

Tips

  • Check that your target is under the level cap; stronger enemies simply ignore a weak dose.
  • A fleeing enemy is still an enemy, so use the 30 seconds to finish off others or escape.

Where to find it

  • Found as leveled loot; stronger tiers appear at higher player levels
