For a mage who lives by fire, frost and lightning, a Fortify Destruction potion is a straightforward damage boost. Drinking one makes every Destruction spell you cast stronger for 60 seconds, which is long enough to win most boss fights or clear a crowded room. Battlemages, pure spellcasters and anyone leaning on a favourite offensive spell will get the most from them, especially in encounters where you need to end things quickly.

Where to find them
These potions show up in vendor inventories and as loot. Because they are leveled, the stronger Draught, Philter and Elixir versions become more common as your character gains levels, while early on you will mostly see the basic Potion of Destruction.

Brewing your own with the Alchemy skill is often the more reliable route. Any two of these ingredients share the Fortify Destruction effect:
Combining ingredients that share a second effect as well gives you a multi-effect potion. If you do not know an ingredient’s properties yet, eating it reveals them one at a time.
Tips
- Drink the potion right before opening a fight, since the full 60 seconds counts down from the moment you drink it.
- The bonus applies to all Destruction spells, so it works whether you favour fire, frost or shock.
