Grilled Chicken Breast

Grilled Chicken Breast is a simple cooked meal in Skyrim, made from a chicken breast and a salt pile, that restores 5 Health.

Grilled Chicken Breast is one of the most basic dishes you can cook in Skyrim: a single cut of chicken seasoned with salt and roasted over a fire. It is light, at only 0.2 weight, and sells for 4 gold, which makes it an easy snack to carry in large numbers.

Effects

Eating it restores 5 points of Health. This is a simple instant restore with no lasting effect. Like most cooked food it heals less than a minor potion, but it costs almost nothing to make and saves potions for when they really matter.

How to make it

Cook it at any cooking pot or spit. Every character knows the recipe from the start, and one batch gives one serving:

Where to find it

The recipe is the documented way to get it. Cooking spots are common: examples include Riverwood homes such as Alvor and Sigrid’s House, the Bannered Mare and the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun, and any house you own with a kitchen.

Good to know

Chicken is also used in the Chicken Dumpling. If you want more Health from a single meal, a Leg of Goat Roast restores twice as much, at five times the weight.

Where to find it
