The Imperial Headsman is the Imperial Legion executioner in Helgen – the big man with the axe at the start of Skyrim. His job that morning is simple: execute the captured Stormcloak prisoners, and you along with them.
Where to find them
He stands at the chopping block in Helgen’s square during the opening sequence. Afterwards, he’s only a burned corpse lying near the block.
Quests
In Unbound he beheads a defiant Stormcloak soldier first, then turns to you. That’s when Alduin lands on a nearby tower and knocks him off his feet. He’s too slow getting up, and a blast of Unrelenting Force from the dragon finishes him on the spot. Few executioners have had a worse day at work.
Good to know
His body carries nothing special – just Bone Meal or a little gold. In rare cases he can be found alive if you head back to Helgen after escaping but before bandits move into the ruins.
