Captain Wayfinder is a young Nord sailor in command of the Sea Squall, a ship docked in Dawnstar. He inherited the vessel from his mother, a lifelong sailor, when she died about a year before the dragons returned, and he has been captain ever since. Not everyone thinks a ship should belong to someone this young – including some of his own crew.
Where to find them
Aboard the Sea Squall in Dawnstar harbour, usually chatting with his two crewmen, Guthrum and Ravam Verethi.
Quests
Salty Sea-Dogs – Wayfinder needs a shipment of Fine-Cut Void Salts recovered. It is a radiant quest, so the location changes each time, and you can repeat it for a leveled gold reward. Bring the salts back and he declares it the best news he’s had since he set sail.
Personality & relationships
Wayfinder is nervous and easily rattled, but also oddly self-assured and genuinely good-hearted – he wants his crew to actually enjoy their work. He knows his strengths lie in charts and stars rather than in leading people, and he is determined to prove the doubters wrong.
His crew are divided on him: Guthrum sees him slowly growing into the job, while Ravam is far less convinced.
Good to know
