Shel is an Orc woman in the stronghold of Dushnikh Yal and one of Chief Burguk‘s three wives – and she will happily tell you she’s also his favorite. The other two are Gharol and Arob.
Where to find them
She usually stands outside Burguk’s longhouse, close to his throne, where she can keep an eye on her chief.
Personality & relationships
Shel’s personality can be summed up as “confident”. She claims Burguk knows her beauty deserves praise, and that the other two wives only look at her with envy because they can’t please their chief the way she does. She doesn’t have children yet, but that doesn’t stop her: she’s sure the son she’ll eventually give Burguk will make Nagrub and Umurn look like weaklings.
The wife rivalry is real. Gharol has threatened to put Shel to work in the mine, and Shel runs straight to Burguk, asking him not to let her pretty hands get dirty. He promises to have a word with Gharol – so, for now, Shel’s manicure is safe. Gharol, in turn, pushes Burguk to let her take Shel’s spot at the feast, without success.
Good to know
- She’s one of the few characters in the game who wears tavern clothes – fitting for someone who refuses to do heavy work.
