Murbul is an Orc wise woman in the stronghold of Dushnikh Yal and the mother of Chief Burguk. Being the chief’s mother is exactly what makes her the wise woman: she’s the oldest and most knowledgeable member of the tribe, the one others turn to when they want to stay on the right side of the Code of Malacath. She’s also a destruction mage, so don’t mistake old for harmless.
Where to find them
Her workshop sits close to Burguk’s longhouse. It has an alchemy lab with potions and ingredients lying around, plus a tanning rack.
Services
Murbul is the stronghold’s alchemist and sells some of her potions and ingredients. Other Orcs send you her way when you want poisons or cures – even Burguk recommends her for hunting poisons.
Personality & relationships
She acts as a spiritual leader, holding ceremonies where she reads the future in animal entrails. Ask about her people and she describes a simple way of life where everyone works for the tribe and only the bravest lead and marry. Ask about Malacath and she calls him the Orcs’ creator, a Daedric Lord who demands that words be backed by deeds – and she notes that Orcs who leave the stronghold tend to forget it.
When Burguk asks whether Malacath favors the stronghold, she assures him the god is pleased and that his tribe is the strongest in the region.
Good to know
- Her outfit includes a Stormcloak Officer Helmet, an odd choice for an Orc elder.
