Rondach is a native Reachman (the game files list him as a Breton) who works in the kitchens of Understone Keep in Markarth. His boss is the keep’s chef Anton Virane, a man with a short fuse and a long list of threats.
Where to find them
He spends his time in Understone Keep, working alongside Voada under Anton’s orders.
Quests
He may be picked as the mark in the Fishing Job, a pickpocketing task from Delvin Mallory of the Thieves Guild.
Personality & relationships
Rondach is grumpy about the endless meals he has to cook, but he admits the Jarl only keeps Anton around because the man can really cook. He also mutters that Anton looks like a Reachman himself – just don’t tell him. When Anton threatens to cut off Voada’s fingers, Rondach threatens him right back, and Voada smooths things over.
Good to know
The game files list him and Voada as children of Ainethach of Karthwasten, even though nobody mentions it in game. In practice that means killing Rondach can bring Ainethach’s hired thugs after you, and Rondach can do the same if you kill Ainethach or Voada. Steal from him and he’ll send thugs too.
