Bjartur is a Nord woman held in the Castle Dour Dungeon in Solitude, jailed for supporting the Stormcloaks. She has no dialogue menu and carries nothing worth taking, so talking to her is mostly a matter of listening to her grumble through the bars.
Where to find them
Locked in a cell in the Castle Dour Dungeon, guarded by the jailor and headsman Ahtar.
Personality & relationships
Bjartur is stubborn to the end. She assumes anyone who walks up is there to question her again, has nothing to say to Imperials and is sure it’s only a matter of time before Ahtar’s blade comes for her neck. None of it breaks her: she remains a loud and proud Stormcloak.
The game files also contain unused exchanges with Ahtar, in which she mocks his execution threats and asks why a Redguard serves the Empire when Hammerfell won its own independence. These never play in game.
Good to know
- Even if the Stormcloaks capture Solitude, she stays in her cell.
- It’s possible to get her out of the cell, for example by hitting her through the door with an area spell such as Ice Storm.
