Niluva Hlaalu

Niluva Hlaalu is a Dunmer meadery worker in Riften struggling with a skooma habit, living at Haelga’s Bunkhouse and terrified Indaryn will fire her.
“So what if I have a problem? I know how to deal with it!”

Niluva Hlaalu is a Dunmer living in Riften. She works at the Black-Briar Meadery and rents a bed at Haelga’s Bunkhouse, which she can barely afford. Her surname hints at ties to the old Dunmer House Hlaalu, but whatever privilege that once meant, she has left it far behind. She is addicted to skooma, and it shows.

Where to find them

She stays at Haelga’s Bunkhouse and works at the Black-Briar Meadery.

Personality & relationships

Every conversation with Niluva starts with her daring you to judge her. She insists she has her problem under control, then swings to promising she’ll quit and prove she isn’t as useless as people think. Her biggest fear is that Indaryn finds out, so she’ll beg you to keep quiet. He has already warned her that one more late arrival means she’s out the door, which Romlyn Dreth takes as proof that the workers will push back one day.

She borrows money to feed her habit, and Tythis Ulen is still waiting to be paid back. Maramal‘s promise that Mara can cleanse her only annoys her. She also complains about a father who expected her to carry on the Hlaalu tradition, which suggests she is the daughter of Belyn Hlaalu, a farmer near Windhelm.
