Anoriath is a Bosmer hunter and merchant in Whiterun. Together with his brother Elrindir he owns The Drunken Huntsman, a hunting-supplies shop by the main gate. Elrindir minds the counter there, while Anoriath runs a meat stall in the market and shouts about his steaks to anyone within earshot.
Where to find them
From 8 AM to 7 PM he works his stall in the marketplace, just outside the Bannered Mare. Catch him inside The Drunken Huntsman instead and he’ll simply send you to Elrindir if you want to shop.
Quests
Anoriath is a contract target for the Dark Brotherhood: Nazir hands you Contract: Kill Anoriath, and the easiest moment is while he is busy at his stall. He is also one of the possible brawl targets in Hired Muscle. If you kill either brother, the survivor may send hired thugs after you.

He sells meat from his stall, stocked with raw cuts and a salt pile or two.
Personality & relationships
Anoriath is friendly and genuinely passionate about hunting, insisting that he brings in most of the game himself, even though you’ll rarely see either brother leave the city. He has a running bit with Brenuin, the town beggar who browses his meat without ever buying, and he bickers with Elrindir about his urge to go on longer hunting trips.
Good to know
The shop’s name has a story: according to Elrindir, the two got drunk on mead, went hunting, got separated, and Anoriath shot his own brother, mistaking him for a deer. They decided that deserved to be commemorated. If Anoriath dies, his coffin ends up in Whiterun’s Hall of the Dead.
