Ramshackle Trading Post

Crumbling shack in southern Solstheim run by Falas Selvayn, a merchant who openly hints his wares are stolen and sells the Glass Bow of the Stag Prince.

The Ramshackle Trading Post is a battered little shack on Solstheim, added with the Dragonborn expansion. You will find it northwest of Fort Frostmoth, northeast of Ashfallow Citadel and south of Kagrumez. The name is honest advertising: the roof has holes, the walls are worn through, and the shopkeeper’s business model seems to be “acquire things that belong to others”.

What you’ll find

  • Falas Selvayn, the sole resident, who lives here and trades from the shack – and whose dialogue suggests most of his stock is stolen.
  • A wrecked interior with toppled chairs, wine bottles around a table and exactly one chair still fit for sitting.
  • An East Empire Company Strongbox on a crate outside, holding an East Empire Pendant.
  • A note pinned to the back wall by an ebony arrow.

Notable items

  • Glass Bow of the Stag Prince – buy it from Falas or pickpocket it with the Misdirection perk.
  • East Empire Pendant in the strongbox outside, useful for the pendant hunt run from Raven Rock.
  • The note stuck in the wall by an ebony arrow.

Tips

Grab the pendant from the strongbox before you head in – it sits right on a crate outside. Read the arrow-pinned note too; someone clearly had opinions about this place. If you want the Stag Prince bow without paying, Misdirection lets you lift it from Falas, which feels oddly fitting given how he got his stock. Otherwise, treat him as a handy merchant to dump loot on while exploring the southeast of the island, between the fort, the citadel and the Dwemer ruin to the north.

Good to know

Falas makes no real effort to hide where his goods come from, which makes haggling with him a strangely honest experience. The building may be falling apart, but the business is apparently thriving.
