Falkreath Imperial Camp is a modest Imperial Legion outpost tucked into the forest west of Falkreath. It lies east of Glenmoril Coven, west of Hunter’s Rest and north of Knifepoint Ridge. Whether it’s actually there depends on how far the Civil War has progressed, so don’t be surprised if you find an empty clearing.
What you’ll find
- A handful of tents manned by Imperial soldiers, commanded by Legate Skulnar.
- The Imperial Quartermaster, who will trade with you.
- A full set of crafting stations: anvil, grindstone, workbench and an alchemy lab.
- A tent with the Civil War map of Skyrim on its table – reading it adds new locations to your own map.
- Two chests and a few potions lying around.
Quests
The camp is tied to the Civil War questline. When it is active and depending on which side you’ve chosen, the soldiers here are part of the Legion’s operations in the region. If you’ve joined the Stormcloaks instead, this is enemy territory.
Tips
The map table is the real treasure: one glance and a bunch of new markers pop up on your world map, which saves a lot of wandering in these dense woods. The crafting stations are handy too if you’re clearing nearby dungeons like Glenmoril Coven and need to improve your gear or brew a few potions without walking back to town.
Good to know
Military camps like this one come and go with the war. If the camp is missing when you arrive, it’s likely because the Civil War hasn’t reached the stage where the Legion sets up here, or has moved past it. Check back after major Civil War milestones if you need the quartermaster or the crafting stations, and remember that Stormcloak loyalists won’t find a friendly face here.
