Sven is a Nord bard who lives in Riverwood with his mother, Hilde. A graduate of the Bards College, he can usually be found playing his lute at the Sleeping Giant Inn – and competing with Faendal for the affections of Camilla Valerius.
How to recruit Sven
Side with Sven in “A Lovely Letter”. Either deliver his letter to Camilla as asked or show him the fake letter Faendal wanted you to deliver. Camilla’s affection goes to Sven, and he will follow you afterwards.
As a follower
Sven is a flexible but fairly weak fighter who levels with you only up to level 20. He is best as an early-game companion while you look for someone stronger.
