Onmund is a rare sight in Skyrim: a Nord who wants to be a mage. His parents wanted him to be a farmer or a hunter, and it took him years of insisting before he could go to the College of Winterhold. He is friendly, a little insecure and glad not to be the only Nord around if you are one too.
How to recruit Onmund
Complete “Onmund’s Request”. He traded away his family amulet and regrets it – despite everything, it is his last reminder of his family. Get it back for him, and he will follow you.
As a follower
Onmund is a destruction mage who can also wear heavy armor and use a one-handed weapon, levelling with you up to level 30.
Marriage and more

- Steward: can look after a Hearthfire homestead.
- Blades: can be recruited into the Blades.
Where to find him
In the Hall of Attainment or the Hall of the Elements, with J’zargo and Brelyna Maryon.
