Olfrid Battle-Born is the patriarch of the Battle-Born clan, the wealthiest family in Whiterun. The Battle-Borns back the Empire, and Olfrid makes sure everyone in town knows it – especially the rival Gray-Manes.
The feud
The Battle-Born and Gray-Mane families have been at each other’s throats for years. Olfrid and Vignar Gray-Mane clash over almost everything, and the civil war gives them plenty of new material.
Imitation Amnesty
Olfrid gives the quest “Imitation Amnesty”: his old friend Arn, who fought beside him in the Great War, is in prison, and Olfrid asks you to save him by forging a new identity for Arn in the prison records. A rare glimpse of loyalty from a man who mostly talks about money and the Empire.
