Frea is a Skaal shaman from the Skaal Village on Solstheim and the daughter of Storn Crag-Strider. In the Dragonborn add-on, she is fighting to free her people from the influence of Miraak, the first Dragonborn – and she becomes one of your closest allies in that story.
How to recruit Frea
Frea travels with you during parts of the Dragonborn questline. Once you complete “At the Summit of Apocrypha”, she can be recruited as a permanent follower.
As a follower
Frea fights with a one-handed weapon and light armor, supported by Alteration and Restoration magic. She is essential and has no level cap, so she grows with you. She will not take part in crimes.
Background
Frea admits she was an angry child, and the previous chieftain taught her to fight so she could put that fire to good use. Being shaman was never the path she would have chosen – she hoped to become a hunter or chieftain – but she has accepted her duty to the Skaal.
Good to know
- Frea cannot be married.
- She can be recruited into the Blades.
