Fethis Alor is a Dunmer merchant running a market stall in Raven Rock, the Dunmer town on Solstheim (Dragonborn). He usually wears traditional Dunmer clothing and has the attitude of a man who hasn’t had a customer all day. Which, by his own account, is usually true.
Where to find them
During the day he stands next to his stall in the town’s market. He lives in Alor House with his daughter, Dreyla Alor. Like the other townsfolk, he can be found at the Earth Stone at night while Miraak’s influence lasts, working on it and worshipping it. Afterwards he remembers it only as a strange dream about building a shrine on the beach.
Quests
Fethis starts Pain in the Necklace. Ask whether he sells mining gear, and he explains that he used to stock East Empire Pendants, amulets once handed out to East Empire Company workers as rewards. They are no longer made, so they’ve become collectibles. He’ll pay you for every one you find around the island, and he suggests the mines as a good starting point.
Services
He sells general goods. As he puts it, if it isn’t a weapon, potion or armor, he probably has it. Most of his stock comes from Gjalund Salt-Sage at the docks, the rest from bartering with locals, plus the odd bargain from Glover Mallory.
Personality & relationships
Fethis is a mix of sour and self-important. He grumbles about Raven Rock’s misfortunes and says he’d leave on the first ship if he could afford it. He also likes to drop names: he says he has friends at the East Empire Company and has written to Vittoria Vici herself. He is sure the company will return and put him first in line. Letters in his own house suggest those friendships are not as warm as he claims.
Once The Final Descent reopens the mine, he admits business is picking up, though he suspects House Redoran will forget the town again once the ore runs out.
Good to know
His dialogue about Vittoria Vici never changes, even if her story on the mainland has already ended badly.
