Bralsa Drel is a Dark Elf who used to be the star digger of Raven Rock, the Dunmer port town on Solstheim (Dragonborn). Back when the ebony still flowed, she hauled up several times more ore than the average miner and was reckoned to be richer than Councilor Lleril Morvayn himself. Then the mine ran dry, she had never learned another trade and had saved nothing, and the sujamma did the rest.
Where to find them
When you first reach the island, Bralsa is not in town at all: she is out at the Earth Stone in a trance, toiling on the strange structure around it like the other locals. Once she is freed, she goes back to the abandoned building in Raven Rock that Morvayn lets her share with Rirns Llervu.
Quests
- Cleansing the Stones – releasing the Earth Stone frees her from the trance and sends her home.
- Feeding the Addiction – Geldis Sadri has banned her from The Retching Netch for being bad for business. Talk him round and she hands over a keepsake from her happier years as thanks.
- The Final Descent – if the Raven Rock Mine reopens, Bralsa gets her old job back and is suddenly full of hope, praising Crescius Caerellius for knowing exactly where to dig.
- Reluctant Steward – she is one of the people you can ask to become steward of Tel Mithryn. She would consider it for skooma, but even with skooma in hand she decides working for Neloth is not worth it.
- It’s All in the Taste – she will happily sample Geldis’s new drink; turning down free sujamma is simply not in her nature.
Personality & relationships
Bralsa is bitter, self-aware and allergic to pity – she knows exactly what she has become and does not want sympathy for it. She warns you not to waste your life the way she did. You may overhear her begging Glover Mallory for coin, and he grudgingly gives it with a warning not to spend it at the Netch. Once the mine reopens she is a much happier woman.
Good to know
When asked about the steward job she calls Neloth “her”. And a known glitch: the game checks Bralsa’s inventory for skooma instead of yours, so the “I have some” option only appears if you reverse-pickpocket skooma onto her.
