Feeding the Addiction is a small Dragonborn miscellaneous quest in Raven Rock on Solstheim. Bralsa Drel was once a wealthy miner, but when the mine ran dry she turned to drinking her savings away, until the innkeeper Geldis Sadri barred her from the Retching Netch. She wants back in, and you are apparently the one to argue her case. Whether that is a kindness is left for you to decide.
How to start
- Complete Cleansing the Stones first.
- Find Bralsa Drel, usually in the centre of Raven Rock during the day, or in Raven Rock Mine once it has been reopened.
- Ask why you should pity her, follow up on her story and offer to speak with Geldis.

Listen to Bralsa
Bralsa is prickly and expects pity she does not want. She explains that she used to earn a fortune from ore, had no other trade when the mine closed, and has been spending what is left at the Netch, at least until Geldis decided she was bad for business. Offer to talk to him and she promises to make it worth your while. Saying you are sorry instead just earns a sarcastic reply.
Convince Geldis Sadri
Head into the Retching Netch and ask Geldis why he banned her. His reasons are surprisingly decent: he watched a woman richer than Councilor Morvayn drink herself into ruin and refused to keep profiting from it. You have three ways to change his mind:
- Persuade – argue that it is her life and her choice. This needs a Speech skill of at least 50.
- Intimidate – threaten him. This also fails if your Speech is below 50.
- Bribe – pay him off. Geldis admits that money beats morals here, provided you have enough gold.
You can also back out of the conversation, in which case Geldis insists Bralsa could still turn her life around if given the chance.
Tell Bralsa she’s welcome at the Retching Netch
Give Bralsa the news. She heads off to do what she does best and hands you a keepsake from better days. Afterwards she can be found drinking at the Netch.

Tips and notes
- The quest title is fairly honest about what you are doing; Geldis is arguably the one with Bralsa’s interests at heart.
- Even after the mine is reopened and Bralsa is back at work, she still talks as if her mining days are behind her.
