Sky Haven Temple

Sky Haven Temple is an ancient stronghold of the Blades, carved deep into the mountain of Karthspire in The Reach. It was built long ago by the Akaviri Dragonguard – the forerunners of the Blades – and forgotten for centuries, until Esbern rediscovers it in the main quest.

Getting in

The way to the temple is guarded by Forsworn camped around Karthspire, followed by caverns with a pillar puzzle, a floor of Akaviri symbols and finally a blood seal that only opens for the Dragonborn. You go through all of it in Alduin’s Wall.

Alduin’s Wall

The temple’s great treasure is Alduin’s Wall – an enormous carving that tells the story of the Dragon War and shows how the ancient Nords used a special Shout to bring Alduin down. It is the clue that leads you to the Greybeards and Dragonrend.

Blades headquarters

After Alduin’s Wall, Sky Haven Temple becomes the home of Delphine, Esbern and the restored Blades. You can recruit followers into the order here, and the temple has an armory with Blades gear, beds and crafting stations.
