The Stalhrim Greatsword is a pale, ice-blue blade made from
stalhrim, the enchanted ice of Solstheim added in Dragonborn. With 23 base damage and 21 weight, it sits right next to Ebony in the top tier of two-handers.
Its real party trick is enchanting: Frost Damage and Chaos Damage enchantments are 25% stronger on stalhrim gear. That makes it the obvious choice for a frost-themed brawler, especially paired with Stalhrim Armor. It is also worth 1,970 gold, should you ever need to fund your next house.

Tips and notes
- Improve it at a grindstone with stalhrim.
- Forging requires Smithing 80, Ebony Smithing, and completing “A New Source of Stalhrim” to unlock the recipe.
- The 25% boost to Frost and Chaos Damage enchantments works like the Frost Enchanter perk.
- A frost enchantment on this sword makes the most of that bonus for a cold-themed build.
