The Nord Hero Greatsword is what happens when Eorlund Gray-Mane gets his hands on a tomb-worn draugr blade. It is a polished, lighter-colored version of the Ancient Nord Greatsword with higher damage, lower weight and a much better price tag.
With 20 base damage at just 16 weight it is an efficient two-hander for mid-level Nord-themed builds, and a nice trophy for anyone who has run with the Companions.

Where to find
- It is not found as regular loot; you make it yourself at the Skyforge in Whiterun.
- The recipe unlocks after finishing the Companions questline with Glory of the Dead.
- You need an Ancient Nord Greatsword, which draugr in Nordic tombs carry in plenty.

Tips and notes
- Its base damage equals the Honed Ancient Nord Greatsword and the Skyforge Steel Greatsword, but it weighs less than both.
- Tempered with a Steel Ingot; Steel Smithing doubles the improvement.
- It shows up on the loading screen explaining that power attacks always break an opponent’s block and cause a stagger.
