Ahkari is a Khajiit merchant who runs one of the Khajiit trade caravans roaming Skyrim. She travels with fellow trader Zaynabi, and the two are guarded by Dro’marash and Kharjo. Like all caravans, they are not allowed inside the city walls, so they camp outside town instead.
Where to find them
Her caravan runs a long route between Dawnstar and Riften, so she can turn up at either camp or anywhere on the road in between. When the caravan stops at Dawnstar, it sets up camp outside the town not far from Iron-Breaker Mine.
Quests
If you follow the Thieves Guild questline, you will at one point be asked to bring her a delivery of moon sugar. Hand it over and every Khajiit caravan merchant in Skyrim will start fencing stolen goods for you.
Services
Ahkari buys every kind of item: weapons, armour, potions, ingredients, food, books and miscellaneous loot. She doesn’t tend to stock ingredients or books herself. Once the moon sugar job is done she also deals in stolen goods, and her stock may include rarer items such as moon sugar, Potion of Cure Disease, salt piles and skooma.
Personality & relationships
Ahkari is polite and a little weary. She arrived in Skyrim after making herself unwelcome in both Elsweyr and Cyrodiil – she describes it as a knack for misunderstandings with the law – and it was Ri’saad who overlooked her record and set her up with a caravan. She now works for him. She is tired of Nords treating every Khajiit as a pickpocket or skooma dealer, which is slightly undermined by the skooma in her own inventory. A note in the Smuggler’s Den hints that her skooma business is connected to Olava the Feeble.
Good to know
- The official game guide lists her as a Pickpocket trainer, but she doesn’t actually train anything.
- Kharjo refers to her as “he” in his dialogue.
