Gemma Uriel

Gemma Uriel is the optimistic half of Kynesgrove’s Imperial lumber sisters, now digging in Steamscorch Mine to pay for a mill that never cut a tree.

Gemma Uriel is an Imperial living in Kynesgrove with her sister Ganna Uriel. The two left Cyrodiil hoping for a better life and a lumber business, only to find that the trees around town were sacred to Kyne. To pay off the debts, Gemma now works in Steamscorch Mine, though she sometimes admits that coming to Skyrim was a mistake.

Where to find them

She mines from 8 AM to 5 PM, takes her meals at the Braidwood Inn at 7 AM and 5 PM, and sleeps in a tent in the camp next to town from 10 PM to 6 AM. The rest of the time she wanders the camp or hangs around the inn.

Personality & relationships

Gemma is the hopeful sister, insisting that at least they choose their own path now. She has a few schemes: perhaps some of the trees by the shrine aren’t actually sacred, or perhaps the forest on the eastern edge of the White River could do – except that would annoy Gilfre at Mixwater Mill. She also wrote to Ulfric Stormcloak offering lumber and got a polite no from his housecarl, which she kept from Ganna. More awkwardly, she mentions a letter from General Tullius about some newly conscripted archers, and Ganna has to shush her.

Good to know

  • If Ganna is killed, Gemma is too upset to talk.
  • Visit as a High Elf in Thalmor robes and she may attack you on sight.
