Arivanya is a High Elf living in Windhelm, married to Ulundil. She is a fairly ordinary townswoman until the city’s serial killer picks her out as his next victim.
Where to find them
Around Windhelm, going about her business in town.
Quests
Blood on the Ice – How the investigation ends decides her fate. If you accuse Wuunferth the Unliving of being the Butcher and he is locked up, the real killer is still free, and Arivanya may turn up dead outside Candlehearth Hall a few days later, along with a guard and Calixto Corrium.
If you work with Wuunferth instead and follow the trail to the next crime scene, you catch the attack while it is happening, with Arivanya as the victim. Kill the Butcher in the marketplace before he strikes and she lives.
Personality & relationships
Arivanya loves her husband but finds him a little dull at times. She has a fussy streak about the city’s smell and plans to scrub herself clean of it. Before the murders are solved she says the guards should be listening to Viola Giordano, who has her own theories about the killings.
Good to know
- She can be the target of the radiant quest Enchanting Pick-Up, which may become impossible if she died during Blood on the Ice.
