The Coldhearted Gravedigger is a Nord woman with no proper name, only a job title and an unflattering adjective. She exists for one reason: to be one of the ten recurring targets the Dark Brotherhood can send you after once its main questline is behind you.
Where to find them
She spawns in the Hall of the Dead in Windhelm and wanders around the catacombs. If you’re there to pay respects to someone, she is not part of the staff you’ll want to talk to – that’s Helgird.
Quests
The Dark Brotherhood Forever – after the Brotherhood has been rebuilt, contractors around Skyrim keep handing out murder jobs. One possible contract names the Coldhearted Gravedigger. Accept it, head to the Hall of the Dead, and she is waiting among the tombs.
Good to know
- She is not essential and doesn’t respawn – once the contract is done, she’s gone for good.
- Other contracts in the same rotation are handed out by contractors like the Desperate Gambler, who lives in Windhelm’s barracks.
