Bendt is the elderly chef of the Bards College in Solitude. The game lists his race simply as “Elder”, but going by his name he is presumably a Nord. He cooks and serves the bards’ meals at fixed times, and he is not a man who smiles much.
Where to find them
In the Bards College kitchen. During the festival in the quest Tending the Flames, he sets up a small stall outside the college for the Burning of King Olaf.
Personality & relationships
Walk into his kitchen and he sarcastically congratulates you for finding it, then explains that meals are for bards at set times and that you should try an inn if you want to order something. He does seem to like the look of you a bit more than the college students, though: you strike him as sturdier than the usual popinjays.
The festival brings out a different Bendt. He shouts about his King Olaf’s Festival candy, praises his sugary treats and hands them out for free – he made them for the festival, after all.
