Knjakr is an insane old man – almost certainly a Nord, given his name – hiding deep in the Ratway Warrens beneath Riften. He is a cannibal, and he makes no effort to hide it. Whether he always had a taste for people or simply ran out of other food down there, the sources don’t say.
Where to find them
He has a room of his own in the Ratway Warrens. As you approach, he’ll sweetly invite you inside, promising he won’t bite. That promise has a very short shelf life: step in and he attacks, announcing that he’s going to eat well tonight.
Personality & relationships
Knjakr wears a chef’s tunic and chef’s hat, which suggests he once cooked for a living before ending up in the Warrens – and possibly that he still thinks of himself as cooking. His combat lines are a stream of unsettling compliments about how tender, juicy and well-fed you look, mixed with pleas to come closer and stay for dinner. He scales with your level, but only at half of it, so he’s usually more creepy than dangerous.
Good to know
In the game he is listed under the race “Elder” rather than Nord. If you walk in while he’s busy using something like a grindstone, he may forget to turn hostile and just keep muttering about how tender you are.
