The Daedric Battleaxe is one of the heaviest hitters in Skyrim. With 25 base damage, a weight of 27 and a value of 2,750 gold, it sits at the top of the standard material tiers alongside the rest of the Daedric arsenal.
Its jagged black and red head is made from ebony, and if you look closely you can see the meat of the Daedra Heart squeezed between the plates. Lovely. It completes the menacing look of Daedric Armor.

Where to find
- Unenchanted versions usually appear from level 35, very rarely as early as level 25. Enchanted ones are rare and start at level 47.
- Sold by blacksmiths and general goods merchants at high levels.
- Random loot in chests.
- Revered and legendary dragons can drop enchanted ones (Dawnguard).

Tips and notes
- Forging requires Smithing 90 and Daedric Smithing; temper with an Ebony Ingot for doubled gains with the perk.
- Daedra Hearts are hard to come by, so plan ahead.
- The Atronach Forge can also make one from a Sigil Stone, Daedra Heart, Ebony Battleaxe, Centurion Dynamo Core and Black Soul Gem.
- A conjured version comes from the Bound Battleaxe spell, with lower damage.
