Solitude Lighthouse stands at the very northern edge of the coast near Solitude, where its fire warns ships and keeps them off the rocks. It is a quiet spot most of the time, with the keeper Ma’zaka living on the ground floor. That quiet tends to end the moment someone asks you to put the light out.
What you’ll find
- Ma’zaka, who lives on the first floor of the lighthouse.
- The lighthouse interior and, up top, the fire pit that guides the ships.
- A skill book in Ma’zaka’s home and treasure linked to a treasure map.
Quests
Lights Out! – Jaree-Ra wants to rob the Imperial ship Icerunner when it comes in to Solitude. His plan is to put out the lighthouse fire so the ship wrecks on the nearby coast. Whether you go along with it is up to you, but it is not exactly a victimless crime.
Notable items
- Alteration skill book The Lunar Lorkhan – in Ma’zaka’s home.
- The treasure from Treasure Map III.
Tips
Grab the skill book while you are here, quest or no quest. Think twice before dousing the flame: once it is out, the lighthouse is never properly relit. You can drop torches into the fire pit and they will appear lit if you come back and climb to the top, but from a distance the lighthouse stays dark for good.
