Sinderion’s Field Laboratory is a small hideaway in the far northeast of Blackreach, right in front of the cathedral of Alftand. Inside you’ll find what’s left of the alchemist Sinderion along with his field journal. It’s also a safe little workshop in the middle of Falmer country.
What you’ll find
- Sinderion’s corpse and his field journal.
- A workbench, alchemy lab, arcane enchanter and cooking spit.
- Two chests with random loot.
- An apothecary’s satchel with random ingredients – possibly Briar Heart, Daedra Heart, Fire Salts, Frost Salts, Moon Sugar, Vampire Dust, Ectoplasm, Eye of Sabre Cat, Hawk Beak, Ice Wraith Teeth, Sabre Cat Tooth or even Crimson Nirnroot. Since the satchel is random, not all of these will be there.
- Falmer roaming the area outside.

- Leather Boots of Hauling, enchanted with Fortify Carry Weight.
Tips
Items you take here don’t respawn, so this is a one-time haul. Don’t flip the switch when you arrive – it can make leaving painful, possibly fatally so. The Boots of Hauling are a lovely bonus if you’ve been hoarding Dwemer scrap all the way down.
