Shrine of Talos: Ilinalta Foothills

Unmarked hilltop shrine of Talos near Lake Ilinalta where four worshippers and a Thalmor agent lie dead after a massacre, with Thalmor orders to find.

Shrine of Talos: Ilinalta Foothills is an unmarked spot in the hills above Lake Ilinalta, southwest of the Guardian Stones and northeast of Pinewatch. It is also very close to where you can build Lakeview Manor (Hearthfire). There’s no marker, just a grim scene that tells a story on its own.

What you’ll find

  • A shrine of Talos on a rocky promontory.
  • The bodies of four Talos worshippers who died fighting a Thalmor soldier – who is also dead.
  • The Thalmor, dressed like a Justiciar, carries orders signed by First Emissary Elenwen.

Notable items

Thalmor Orders, naming the dead man as Agent Sanyon.

Tips

From the Guardian Stones, head east uphill along the winding cobbled path. Where it splits, go right (southwest) past a fallen tree and a big rock, then climb the short stepped path to the promontory. Pay your respects, pocket the orders, and maybe pray for anyone who builds a house this close to a Thalmor crime scene.

Good to know

The corpse is just called “Thalmor Soldier”, even though his own orders call him Agent Sanyon.
