Falkreath Stormcloak Camp is the Stormcloaks’ base of operations in the south, pitched east of Helgen. Its spot is well chosen: it’s close to Helgen, Riverwood and the Imperial stronghold of Fort Neugrad, which the rebels very much want for themselves.
What you’ll find
- Stormcloak soldiers led by Galmar Stone-Fist, along with Thorygg Sun-Killer.
- Crafting facilities that Stormcloak allies may use.
- A map table in one of the tents that updates your world map with new locations.
- A few chests with random loot.
Quests
- Rescue from Fort Neugrad – the camp is the staging area for this mission to break captured Stormcloaks out of the fort.
- Liberation of Skyrim – taking Fort Neugrad cements Ulfric Stormcloak’s grip on the region, a key step in the campaign.
Tips
Don’t rush here straight after escaping Helgen expecting a warm welcome – the camp only appears a couple of days after the dragon attack. Once you’ve completed Rescue from Fort Neugrad, everyone packs up and moves into the captured fort, and the camp vanishes from the map entirely. So if you want to use the crafting stations or peek at the map table, do it before the big push.
Good to know
If the Imperials win the war instead, the camp sticks around with its commander and a band of Stormcloak survivors, apparently still planning something nobody is quite sure of. Stubbornness is a Nordic virtue, after all.
What happens after
After Rescue from Fort Neugrad, the soldiers from this camp become the new garrison of Fort Neugrad, and the camp’s map marker disappears. If you’re playing the Legion side, this is where you’d expect to find the rebels in the area – the camp exists to put pressure on the fort and the roads around Helgen and Riverwood.
