Sabre Cat Snow Pelt is taken from the snowy sabre cat, the tougher white cousin of the tundra cat. It is worth 40 gold, weighs 2 and tans into 4
Leather, the same as a regular
Sabre Cat Pelt but with a noticeably better sale price. It also counts for the Animal Pelt Collection.
How to get it
Hunt snowy sabre cats in the snowfields of the Pale, Winterhold and Eastmarch. They blend into the snow until they are already on top of you, so keep an eye on the drifts. Hunters and Orc hunters carry these pelts, and general goods merchants such as Belethor and Brand-Shei sell them.
Only three loose pelts exist: in Vittoria Vici’s House in Solitude, in Hag’s End and in the Greathall of Skaal Village.
Given the higher sale price, it is a judgment call whether to tan it or sell it. If you only need a little leather, tan a cheaper pelt instead and sell this one to the nearest general store for the better profit. Either way, it pays off.
