The Skull of Corruption is the staff of Vaermina, Daedric Prince of nightmares. It fires a damaging blast – and it gets much stronger if you feed it the dreams of sleeping people.
How to get it
It’s the reward for the Daedric quest “Waking Nightmare” in Dawnstar, where the townsfolk are plagued by bad dreams. The priest Erandur asks you to help destroy the skull. At the end you have a choice: let him finish the job, or kill him and take the staff for Vaermina.
Spare Erandur and you get a loyal healer follower instead. Kill him and you get the Skull.
Collecting dreams
Normally it deals 20 damage. Cast it at a sleeping person to collect dreams – five per cast – and each charged shot hits for 50. Careful: casting it at someone who’s awake counts as an attack.
How to get it
Reward for the Daedric quest "Waking Nightmare" in Dawnstar – only if you kill Erandur at the end.
