The Ebony Blade is the Daedric artifact of Mephala, the Webspinner – and it’s as treacherous as its mistress. It drains life from every enemy it hits, but the only way to make it stronger is to murder people who trust you.
How to get it
Complete the Daedric quest “The Whispering Door”. It begins in Dragonsreach, the palace of Jarl Balgruuf in Whiterun, where a mysterious voice whispers from behind a locked door.
Powering it up
The blade starts by absorbing 10 health per hit. Every two friendly characters you kill with it – people whose favour you’ve done, followers and the like – add 2 points, up to a maximum of 30. Its enchantment never runs out of charges.
It’s a powerful weapon, but think twice about who you sacrifice for it.
How to get it
Reward for the Daedric quest "The Whispering Door", started in Dragonsreach, Whiterun.
