Vendil Severin is a wealthy Dunmer living in Raven Rock on Solstheim (Dragonborn). On the surface he’s the town’s favourite patron: over the ten years since his family arrived, he has poured gold, supplies and even his own sweat into rebuilding the settlement. He’s unfailingly polite and calls everyone serjo. Naturally, that means he’s up to something.
Where to find them
He lives in Severin Manor with his wife Tilisu and daughter Mirri, at least until Served Cold blows his cover. His final stand takes place at Ashfallow Citadel.
Quests
In Served Cold, Adril Arano suspects House Hlaalu agents are hiding in town. They are, and the Severins are them. Vendil’s real name is Vendil Ulen, and with the help of the Morag Tong he plans to kill Lleril Morvayn, whom he blames for the execution of Vilur Ulen. Once you have proof, you track him to Ashfallow Citadel and end the plot. His body carries enchanted Chitin Heavy Armor: the cuirass fortifies Heavy Armor and the gauntlets fortify One-Handed.
Before all that, he’s one of the many locals who half-remember Miraak, recalling a dream about a temple.
Personality & relationships
The happy family is a cover. An overheard conversation between Vendil and Mirri hints that their relationship is anything but father and daughter, and that Tilisu may be getting suspicious. Vendil frets about ten years of planning going to waste, while Mirri seems to enjoy the danger.
Good to know
He is assigned the Dremora class in the game files, a class otherwise used only by actual Dremora.
