Words and Philosophy

A Two-handed skill book: interviews with Lady Allena Benoch on the lost art of the blade.

Lady Benoch’s Words and Philosophy is built from three interviews with Allena Benoch, a Bosmer who rose from her tribe’s archer to master of the Valenwood Fighters Guild and head of the Emperor’s personal guard. She talks about her past, why she now champions the sword over the bow, and why she thinks today’s soldiers have forgotten how to fight. Her final tip for facing a wizard is short and to the point: close the distance and hit him hard.

Skill book

Words and Philosophy is a Two-handed skill book. The first time you read a copy, your Two-handed skill goes up by one point – later copies of the same title don’t give anything extra, so there is no need to carry them around.

Notes

Her advice about wizards is also solid gameplay advice in Skyrim.
